The certification process is based on the internationally recognized European Standard EN 13432, which guarantees that our products can break down quickly and completely in either an industrial composting facility or a home composting system.

Regardless of which composting method is chosen, our products are guaranteed to meet the fundamental requirement of certification for both “OK Compost HOME” and “OK Compost INDUSTRIAL.” That is, 90% of the item must be broken down within 180 days of being introduced to a compost environment.
